For the Maori 78, Technicomposit took on the challenge of modernising and embellishing this yacht by installing a bay window, in square carbon tube.
The project began with the creation of a 3D drawing to accurately visualise the integration of the bay window into the yacht, followed by the construction of a wooden skeleton for the mould to ensure that every curve and angle perfectly matched the structure of the Maori 78.
The next stage involved assembling the tubes and laminating them to form the support structure for the bay window. Once the pieces had been removed from the moulds, they were assembled with with meticulous care. The carbon structure was precisely fitted to the boat before the windows were bonded in lexan, a material chosen for its exceptional clarity and impact resistance.with meticulous care.
As the final stage, the installation and adjustment of the door system ensured flawless functionality and harmonious aesthetic integration.
