This project aims to improve the the boat’s navigation behaviour by modifying the shape of its bow. The fabrication steps include the installation of a digitally cut wooden skeleton to lower the deck, followed by the bonding of moulded polystyrene foam and vacuum lamination of the sandwich’s inner skin. A structural PVC foam is then bonded, followed by a second skin lamination. After a sanded primer, the project is completed with a final coat of lacquer, a matte finish and the fitting of fenders around the deck. On the inside, we have replaced the panelling with veneered furniture in sliced teak and lacquered carbon fibre.
