Top level racing and transoceanic regatta yacht Shockwave Alfa Romeo, went for a performance and efficiency improvement conducted by Technicomposit, aiming to beat the pacific crossing time record. The company manufactured two key components: a bowsprit and a carbon mast to support the on-board computer equipment.

The bowsprit, designed specifically for the Alfa Romeo Shockwave, has been produced using advanced techniques to ensure optimum strength and lightness, essential criteria in the construction of equipment for sailing competition. This part, made from top-of-the-range composite materials, optimises the yacht’s performance during racing, offering better management of the headsails and the boat’s manoeuvrability.

At the same time, the lightweight, durable carbon mast has been designed to accommodate the electronic and computer equipment essential for real time data analysis.
