The history of Technicomposit

The Technicomposit team's twin motivations are speed on the water and top level sailing, and it chose first to put its technical and sailing expertise to the test by producing 28-foot (sailing) catamarans in composite materials. After winning the European championship and selling our 'bolide' in the United States , we devoted ourselves to the development of the Tornado for the French team, under the patronage of Nicolas Hénard, who obtained his second gold medal at Barcelona .

Our team perfected the pre-impregnation technique and the use of Nomex (honeycomb) thanks to this project. The ISAF awarded us the licence to build the Tornado in France . Moreover, a boat is available on the water at Antibes for possible tests.

Our know-how

Throughout the years, Technicomposit has acquired a wide experience in the production of complex parts in composites.

We have been using pre-impregnated tissues for more than 15 years; our 45 foot oven allows us to cure spinnaker booms, booms, crossbeams and catamaran hulls under vacuum at 120°, in optimum conditions.

Recognized expertise

Thanks to the experience and the maritime background of its employees, this company has very quickly become an obvious leader for the boat handling companies situated on the Cote d'Azur .

Surveyors, builders (Fountaine Pajot, Jeanneau, Nautor's Swan...), architects or engineering departments concerned with boatbuilding regularly call on our expertise and our ability to solve problems connected with damage to sailing or motor vessels, or construction defects in various craft.
